Citys and People
Photography has been a fun outlet for me. Taking a still moment and preserving it is one hell of an experience. Print is also something I enjoy—the moment you see your photos come to life.
Recently, I read a book titled The Alchemy of Us by Ainissa Ramirez. In Chapter 4, “Capture,” Ramirez explores the history of photography through figures like Eadweard Muybridge and Reverend Hannibal Goodwin, showing their dedication to the craft and the alchemy behind photography. Today, photos are more accessible than ever. Digital cameras are everywhere, and photography has become easier to explore. Photos are beautiful because they capture moments in time—moments that once seemed only visible through experience. Eadweard Muybridge’s unrelenting creativity helped capture movement in the 19th century and changed the way we see time.
Photography has been a great outlet for me. I enjoy taking pictures of things, moments, and people. It also helps me stay present. Being focused on a single task can feel almost impossible for me at times, but photography gives me a way to slow down and truly be in the moment.
