Finding Peace

Finding Peace

I’ve been an anxious wreck, and I can acknowledge that. To each their own, they say. But seriously—I’ve been seeking substances to give me what I’ve had all along. My body was built to absorb it in its truest form. Some of us don’t know how to let love into our hearts because we were never taught how to accept it. There was always a fear—like there might be a "catch" to it or something. Can you blame me?

My mother always used to say after a long day of work, “En esta vida no hay amigos, hijo,” which translates to, “In this life, there are no friends.” So today, I can accept that I’ve been a shitty friend at times. Being selfish and egotistical, with a little mix of nihilism, is a recipe for disaster.

Why dwell on the past? Why fight so hard for a future when the best thing we can do today is incorporate more love into our lives and stay up to date with its maintenance?

An article by Dennis Neilson titled “The Science of Love,” published by Harvard Medical School, explains that love isn’t just some figurative thing we say—it’s a real chemical process inside us, with a serious impact that starts with our health.

If you smoke weed every day, drink alcohol, eat a lot of sugar, lack serotonin, and have an omega-3 deficiency, you are ultimately setting yourself up for failure when it comes to creating love within your own body. I speak for myself, of course.

I want to be at peace with myself, and it starts with my diet. I’m currently engaged to my beautiful soon-to-be wife, Erika, and I want that lasting love between us. To keep that fire alive, as they say, we need to be mindful of our bodies so we can truly create that love for each other.

Recently, I’ve had a lot of trouble finding peace in my life. But I’ve finally realized one thing that will change my view of love for years to come: my body was made for love all along. Unfortunately, I’ve done a poor job of maintaining a healthy love machine.

Today, I’ll do my best to create a better, healthier routine—for the sake of accepting more love into my life.

Erika speaking....

I was at a pre-birthday party celebration outing with two of my closest friends when I was wondering around and spotted one of CRODAS eye catching Surrealist painting display.

I was immediately drawn to his section like a moth to flame. I'm a fan of dark surreal art so I was instantly captivated.

I was looking around his section when I saw his published book of artwork in accompany with poetry for each painting.

Two of my favorite forms in one! I had to buy it!

I also had the privilege of being able to meet CRODAS and had him sign my copy of his published book. It was such a delight to be able to discus his art and appreciate it in real time.

I'm looking forward to his new art series collection soon to come!

Thank you Marlon for giving me the opportunity to share this with you and your peeps.

Goodnight!
