My First Hardcore Show

My First Hardcore Show

Last night I went to go see my first hardcore show in San Fernando Valley, CA in a fairly sized venue what seemed to be a gutted Vinyl record shop called "The Midnight Hour". I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous or scared. The night before I was having trouble sleeping for the very reason of catching stray blows. My Erika seemed to not be bothered she has been to many shows and has taken a few elbows to the face. Once I was inside the venue I was inside the glory of a hardcore show: shoving, punching, two step shuffling, and a moshpit that would knock you out if you weren't ready to catch a fist full of rock and roll , well hardcore. you know what I mean.

Honestly I didn't have the balls to jump in just yet. At one point there was this tall dude in a gray hoodie throwing hands on some random person in front of me. So yea I felt like a cat being forced to take a bath every time I got closer to the center of the pit. Once I saw a guy donkey kick somebody I said " ill just stand back here" lol. Craziest thing was there was some 10yr old kid in that same pit going hard. no one really got to physical with the kid but he did seam fearless.

I had a great time. The bands were dope. Venue was a blast. So I cant wait to see for Sound and Fury .
